A few things to know
From what’s included to how it works, find answers to common questions about Design Wrap.
What is Design Wrap?
Design Wrap is a flat-rate, room-by-room interior design service for Houston-area homeowners. Following an in-home consultation, Elizabeth creates a custom digital design plan with a layout, visual direction, curated selections, and direct product sources so you can bring the room to life on your own timeline.
How is Design Wrap different from traditional full-service interior design?
With Design Wrap, EBD focuses on the design and decision-making rather than managing every purchase and delivery. You receive the expertise and cohesive direction of a seasoned designer, then purchase directly and oversee implementation using your completed plan.
What does the flat-rate fee cover?
The flat-rate fee covers the agreed design and planning services for the room. Furnishings, materials, shipping, delivery, installation, and fees charged by outside vendors are separate and paid directly by you. Your proposal will define the exact scope before work begins.
Do you add a markup to furnishings?
No. Design Wrap clients purchase recommended products directly from the retailer or vendor. This gives you visibility into product costs and control over when purchases are made.
Will you work within my furnishings budget?
Yes. Budget is part of the design brief from the beginning. Elizabeth uses a flexible sourcing approach, combining the right mix of investment, custom, vintage, local, and elevated retail pieces to support the overall plan. Your furnishings budget is separate from the flat-rate design fee.
Can you incorporate furniture, art, or heirlooms I already own?
Absolutely. Meaningful pieces often give a room its character. Elizabeth will discuss what you want to keep and determine how those items can guide or support the new design.
Is Design Wrap an online design service?
The finished presentation is digital, but the experience is grounded in your real home. For local projects, Elizabeth visits the space, takes measurements and photographs, and gets to know how the room functions before creating the design.
Is the service practical for homes with children or pets?
Yes. Design Wrap is intended for real households. Elizabeth considers traffic patterns, durability, cleanability, comfort, storage, and daily routines alongside the visual direction.
How long does the process take?
Most Design Wrap plans are completed approximately six weeks after the consultation and project start. Your proposal will include the expected timing for your room.
What areas do you serve?
EBD serves Memorial, Spring Valley, West University, Garden Oaks, the Heights, Montrose, and nearby Houston neighborhoods. Inquire if you are outside these areas; availability may depend on location and project scope.
Can I hire EBD for more than one room?
Yes. You may begin with one room or inquire about wrapping several connected spaces. When multiple rooms are planned together, Elizabeth can consider flow and continuity across the home.
